Summer Youth Series / Second Sunday Celebration

Every week during the summer, our youth group gets together with various youth groups in the area for encouragement and fun during our Summer Youth Series. During the school year, we switch over to the Second Sunday Celebration to maintain that unity amongst the youth. Devotionals, songs, games and fellowship are so important for helping us develop our relationship with Christ. The children enjoy getting together with others who have a passion for God and serving Him.

Espanola, New Mexico Teen Mission Trip

Our youth group, in conjunction with other area churches, has begun taking mission trips to Espanola, NM to help with their VBS program at that church. It is such a blessing to be able to work with a church in another state. Not only do we host the VBS, but we also get to take fun excursions and visit the area. Through the preparation for these trips and the trips themselves, our youth (and adults) learn the value of partnering with others and sharing the good news of Christ Jesus with people outside of our community.

LTC (Leadership Training for Christ)

Every year, around Easter, the Elgin youth take a trip to Houston for the annual LTC Bible competition. This is a time of great fun and fellowship and meeting of other Christians who share a passion for Jesus. We blessed with some amazing Bible teachers who devote much time to helping our kids learn the book of the Bible they will be tested on each year. The age groups for this run from 3rd through 12th grade. Of course the kids always enjoy the fellowship and fun.

H.E.B. Camp

Once a year in August, the Elgin Church Family takes a retreat to the free H.E. Butt Foundation Camp located in beautiful Frio River Valley by Leaky, TX. Every year we have around 50 people from the church in attendance. Cooling off in the refreshing Frio River is a great way to escape the hot sun, but more than that, it is a time of great fellowship, praise and renewal. While our youth love this trip, the adults have a great time, too.
